USAF Combat Controllers (CCT) are an elite special operations force who deploy into combat and hostile environments to establish airfields, conduct air traffic control, fire support, command and control, and other special operations tasks. They are part of the Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC), which is the Air Force’s contribution to the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) and Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC)
